Role:

  • Drive tangible data-driven business outcomes at the product level, manage to a quantified scorecard continuously monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators and optimizing product performance
  • Interpret and apply program vision and strategy tproduct strategy and roadmap for the Products they manage, clearly communicating it tkey stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Leverage the Studiframework tmanage the delivery of ongoing innovation and enhancements tfocus Products
  • Drive a user-centric culture of data driven, test and learn experimentation, continuously assessing and enhancing the Product user experience. Partner with Delivery and Servicing teams (GCC, CTS, Biz Ops) tensure that Products are easy tdeploy and deliver a great experience during operation
  • Demonstrate depth of knowledge of their Product and the ecosystem in which it operates (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive environment). Apply this knowledge tthe development of winning Product strategies
  • Demonstrate awareness of Mastercard’s broader Product offering and the ability tleverage Products from other business areas taugment Product capabilities
  • Drive the delivery of key product enhancements and partner with Guild members tdeliver (e.g. CX&D, Product Management – Technical)
  • Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and manage any barriers or obstacles tdeliver capabilities on time and budget in partnership with the Product Management-Technical Guild.
  • Leverage data tquickly identify Product performance challenges, creating proactive plans tdrive usage and revenues. Use data-driven analysis tprioritize resources tdeliver against the plan
  • Ensure that the broader Mastercard organization is enabled tsell focus Products by creating compelling communications & marketing content in partnership with Marketing
  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Product Management-Technical, CX&D) in the development of business requirements tachieve Product objectives
  • Partner with the Guilds tcreate and share best practices within the Program with a focus on driving continuous improvement in the Program’s operating model
  • Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the Studiframework
  • Demonstrate a commitment tcontinuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum taugment existing knowledge, skills and experiences
  • Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours through their behaviour, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement.

About You:

  • Product management experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in new innovative product development and management, client facing consulting and technology.
  • Strong understanding of the emerging technologies, merchant needs and prevailing business models.
  • Strong focus on consumer experience coupled with very strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Passion for the customer.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability tengage senior executives with ease. Ability tunderstand their requirements, build out plans and deliver on those.
  • Sensitivity for multi-cultural, diverse background.
  • Proven ability tbuild collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at the global/regional or local level.
  • Ability tmanage multiple projects, manage creative resources.
  • Strategic mindset with ability tmake quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations.
  • Motivated self-driver, able tmanage complex/multi-geography projects with a discipline for priority-setting and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, agility and rapid learning on competitors, technologies, and products.

Job Type: Contract
Compensation: 210,000 KES monthly. Please note that compensation is per task, actual payment amount will depend on the performance of staff at Mastercard. Amount listed is only an estimate of what is expected to be delivered and work load for each responsibility and task that will be assigned to this role.
