Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated Implementation Engineer to join our team in Eldoret. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and support customer-specific solutions powered by Sama’s AI platform. This is a high-impact role that requires a balance of technical expertise, customer engagement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, PMs, and Delivery teams to implement effective client solutions. Act as the go-to technical expert on Sama’s technology platform, providing insights into capabilities and limitations. Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and guide the integration of Sama’s tools into their existing environments. Design, develop, and implement customized solutions tailored to specific client needs. Provide mentorship to peers and contribute to team development and skills growth. Identify areas for improvement, drive innovation, and help enhance Sama’s internal systems and service delivery. Take ownership of end-to-end custom implementations with minimal supervision, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Break down complex technical information into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders. Solve ambiguous technical challenges with a human-centric approach that aligns with customer goals.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (relevant experience may substitute). 3–5 years of experience in a similar role (Implementation, Solutions, or Software Engineer). Strong development background with proficiency in Python or other scripting/web development languages. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their AI/ML toolsets. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to real-world client challenges. Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting continuous learning. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Flexibility to work late hours and collaborate with North American teams during overlapping hours.
