POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting all audio-visual (AV), projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment. This role includes overseeing the installation of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring all equipment is operational, and performing necessary repairs or cleaning. The technician will label any malfunctioning equipment and report issues to the manager or supervisor. Responsibilities also include securing loose wires and cables, verifying equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order, and communicating any changes to the manager or supervisor. Additionally, the technician will assist guests in using AV equipment, promote various AV services, and monitor equipment performance. Finally, the role involves dismantling, removing, and securing equipment when not in use, while adhering to the Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in ICT or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Practical experience in an audio-visual or IT/Communications environment is an advantage
