Your duties will include maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for daily tasks and accounting activities, all under the guidance of your supervisor. You’ll be part of a team where most members work remotely from Australia. Experience working in distributed/remote teams; chatting platforms, email, video conferencing. The Nakuru team is small and local, supported by a much larger online team that works for the organization remotely in various locations.

ob Description/Requirements
Hours of work; 2am-11am Monday to Friday
- Accounting; Bank reconciliations daily including allocating of transactions from bank feeds Inputting approved payable invoices into MYOB on a daily basis to ensure payments are processed on time and in full.
- Assisting with the processing of payroll for all employees on a fortnightly basis
- Entering daily sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Matching of receipts and reporting for any unknown transactions within 3 business days.
- Following up on missing receipts. End of month tasks
- Day to Day tasks within G-Suite (gmail, google drive, gqueues)
- Day to Day tasks in accommodation softwares – REI and Newbook
- Any other ADHOC tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Degree in business related discipline
- CPA Optional
- Accounting software experience 2 years (MYOB highly desirable)
- Adobe PDF editing experience
- Knowledge of foreign tax systems highly desirable (Especially Australia)
- Software experience and the ability to adapt
- High Computer literacy with knowledge in excel (Experience with Google sheets highly desirable)
- Must have at least 2 years hands on working experience in an accounting department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (articulate) coupled with good listening skills,
- if successful to interview stage this will be assessed.
- Proactive, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude and use good organization skill
- Certificate of good conduct
Job Type: Contract
