Job Description
The selected candidate will be appointed on a two (2) year contract, renewable up to two (2) additional terms, and will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct tutorials, engage in research, and publish findings under the guidance of senior academic staff;
- Assist in writing grant proposals;
- Support academic demonstrations and assess undergraduate student reports;
- Help supervise undergraduate projects, tutorials, and practical field sessions;
- Participate in various research initiatives;
- Engage in professional and community service activities;
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution;
OR,
- A holder of MBChB or BDS with additional specialized training;
- Registration with the relevant professional body (if applicable);
- Demonstrated capability in university teaching and research;
- Participation in conferences and similar academic forums;
- Fulfillment of the requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
