Job Overview
As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our Operations teams at one of our Fulfillment Centers. This role requires you to work hands-on with the latest technology, supporting IT systems critical to the operations of our logistics sites. You will collaborate with remote support teams and interact with business leaders to ensure seamless technical operations. The role involves troubleshooting a wide range of IT-related issues, including hardware and software problems, and maintaining various technical equipment. Flexibility is key as the site operates 24/7.

Key Responsibilities
You will be the first point of contact for technical support, assisting with various IT disciplines across multiple facilities. Your primary tasks will include maintaining and supplying IT hardware, troubleshooting end-user devices like PCs, wireless handhelds, and printers, and supporting fulfillment operations. You’ll also be responsible for managing Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and warranty repair processes. Continuous learning about new technologies and career development activities will be part of your role. You will be expected to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, and nights.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a corporate environment supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting integrated computer systems, including devices like thin clients, scanners, and handheld terminals.
- Knowledge of networking principles such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs / 22 kg and stand/walk for 10-12 hours at a time.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Microsoft, AWS, or Linux (Redhat).
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with high customer service standards.
- Ability to explain complex IT issues in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills.
