• The Head of Finance will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations.
• This role encompasses growth planning, financial risk management, oversight of accounting and compliance, and guidance on investment decisions. Additionally, the Head of Finance will monitor performance, ensure compliance with tax and audit obligations, and support capital-raising initiatives for business expansion.
• Provide strategic leadership in formulating both short- and long-term financial objectives to enhance overall business performance.
• Evaluate current financial plans and recommend necessary adjustments, particularly in instances of underperformance.
• Supervise all finance and accounting operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee financial risk management strategies, ensuring adequate insurance coverage and mitigation measures are implemented.
• Assess the fiscal impact of long-term investments, new products, strategic initiatives, and regulatory changes.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, cost controls, and financial reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with investment advisors to optimize portfolio performance and advise management on maximizing returns.
• Ensure timely execution of investment plans approved by the Board of Directors and provide performance feedback for evaluation.
• Offer expert advice on financial trends and industry developments, recommending adjustments to financial planning as necessary.
• Lead initiatives to identify and pursue opportunities for raising additional capital to support expansion efforts.
• Ensure compliance of all financial operations with relevant industry regulations and professional standards.
• Oversee the company’s tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of statutory obligations.
• Direct internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations.
•  Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)
• Active member of ICPAK in good standing
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
• Preferred membership in ICIFA
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the capital markets sector
• In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets Authority (CMA) regulations applicable to investment banks
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant financial reporting frameworks
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and inform strategic decision-making
